Program Description |
The Cross Country Ski Recreation program is often a child’s first experience on skis. Athletes will ski 1-2 days a week at the Alta Track (offered Tuesdays and Thursdays). With a focus of "fun on snow", skiers will learn cross country ski skills through ski play and will gain an understanding of teamwork and fair play. Skiers will learn the basics of classic skiing technique and fitness training, as well as a general appreciation of and respect for cross country ski equipment.

For the 2022-23 season, we are also opening up registration to athletic 4 year olds who have had a few years on downhill skis and/or are motivated to learn cross country skiing and be part of the team.
