Roller Skiing, Running and Strength
Program description
TVSEF will be offering roller ski training, running and strength sessions in October and November for the Prep and Comp Team.
When: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday starting October 15 and running through
November 22. The sessions will last approximately 90 mins and start at 3:30 pm. There
will also be 1-2 additional sessions on the weekends. The weekend sessions will be
longer and may involve roller skiing into Teton National Park and other locations here in
Teton Valley. Tuesday and Thursday will focus on roller skiing and Friday will focus on
fun strength and endurance dryland training.

Objectives for the roller ski sessions:
Gear Requirements;
The roller ski training sessions will be best suited for the experienced Prep and Comp members that are comfortable cross country skiing and have a foundation of intermediate level cross country skills. TVSEF has 12 pair of roller skis and therefore the roller ski training sessions will be limited to 12 kids. However, if an individual has their own pair of roller skis they are always welcome.
The roller ski sessions will be led by Dan and Melisa Streubel. Please contact Dan Streubel at 208-709-3748 for more information. Lindsey Love will be in charge of the Friday dryland training and running sessions.

- Have a fun and safe experience on roller skis
- Improve and refine the skating techniques of V1, V2, and V2 alternate.
- Improve and refine double poling technique
- Balance and agility
- Nordic specific strength
- General fitness
Gear Requirements;
- Skate ski boots, skate poles preferably with roller ski ferrules, bike helmet, and full finger gloves. Knee pads are also recommended.
- A pair of running shoes for some warm-up and balance exercises and a water bottle.
- A working bike helmet
