Mountain Bike Camp

Kid's Mountain Bike Camps

Starting in summer 2021 and moving forward, Mountain Bike the Tetons will be taking over the summer mountain bike programming formerly provided by TVSEF.  Please check out their website for more information.
When ski season ends, it’s time to shred Teton Brown Pow! Due to popular demand, TVSEF is offering 5 sessions of Mountain Bike Camp for kids for 2020 in June, July, and August.  We’ll learn and practice skills in the mornings and shred the Valley’s awesome trails in the afternoon with a new ride each day. Parents will need to provide transportation to and from trailheads for the 2020 season.  Camps sell out every year so please register ASAP.

Ages 8-12 years - Athlete must be 8 years old by the first day of camp.

Sessions:  9:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday-Thursday
Camp 1 June 22-25, 2020 – Co-ed
Camp 2 July 13-16, 2020 – Girls Only
Camp 3 July 20-23, 2020 – Co-ed
Camp 4 August 10-13, 2020 – Girls Only
Camp 5 August 17-20, 2020 – Co-ed

Registration opens on March 1 at 9:00 AM.  Register by clicking the red button below.
Camps are capped at 12 participants total to maintain a 1:4 coach to camper ratio.  A wait list will be kept once 12 participants have been reached. To add your name to a wait list, please email info@tvsef.org
Camps need a minimum of 9 participants to run.  Decisions on whether a camp will run or not will be made two weeks prior to the first day of the camp.  Participants will be notified and be given the option to register for one of the remaining camps, if possible.
Cost: $260 per athlete
Fee includes a camp jersey.
Participants should have a mountain bike in good working order and experience riding off pavement.   Bikes must have hand brakes, multiple gears, and shifting that operates smoothly and effectively.  Our Valley’s shops have generously offered to perform bike checks at no cost to our athletes. Please bring your bike to Fitzgerald’s (Victor), Peaked Sports (Driggs), or Habitat (Driggs), to have your child’s bike checked prior to camp.

FAQ's

Q: Do I need to sign my child up for the whole camp?
A: Yes, each week is designed as a progression from Monday through Thursday. We will repeat content the following week so there is little reason to participate an additional week.

Q: Can I sign up for multiple camps?
A: Absolutely!

Q: Does my bike have to have suspension?
A: Not required. Though a front shock is very helpful, it is not required.  This is a Cross-Country camp, so full suspension bikes are not required.  The lighter the bike, the better!

Q: What type of riding is this camp geared toward?
A: Cross-country, mountain biking. Participants should have a bike designed for mountain biking with functioning shifting and braking.

Q: When does registration open?
A: March 1.  Once full, we will start a wait list.
