Merit Based Scholarship
Pete Dexter Scholarship
The Pete Dexter Scholarship is intended to help athletes make the transition from development to a competitive team by lowering cost the barrier. When he coached with GTSSF, Pete gave numerous athletes the extra boost they needed to keep their spark and stick with the sport even as they found more challenges and learned new skills. We hope this scholarship will continue his legacy and spread his influence to young athletes for years to come by keeping their passion of the sport alive regardless of financial means.
This scholarship is a merit based scholarship given out at the end of each season.

STreubel Legacy Scholarship
This scholarship was created in honor of very dedicated and long-time GTSSF volunteers, Dan and Melisa Streubel. They both gave so much to build a strong foundation for our cross country program by running races, coaching kids, providing gear for athletes, donating countless hours of their time, sparking a love of cross country skiing within our athletes, and cultivating the cross country community in Teton Valley.
This scholarship is awarded to one athlete each year based on merit and input from coaches. The funds are designated for competition fees including registration. As funds are available, the award may also serve as a gear stipend for athletes to purchase new skis, poles, boots, etc.
