Emphasis will be on fundamentals such as exploration, all-mountain riding, etiquette and sportsmanship. Coaches will provide an all mountain experience including hike-to areas and terrain park. The goal is for athletes to gain experience and build confidence in a fun, motivating environment that incorporates play, fun, basic agility, balance, coordination and development of endurance.. At least 90% of the time will be spent freeriding. Dryland gymnastic training is recommended.

Ages: 11-18 (10 with coaches permission)
Skill Development Focus: Riding all terrain and exploring the mountain. Through effective stance and efficient movements, riders will learn to control their board and perform a variety of fundamental tasks such as riding in control, turning from toe to head, simple switch riding, basic carve turn, basic Ollie, ability to ride flat base for short periods of time, riding easier moguls or tree turns and powder turns. In freestyle terrain, riders will become comfortable grabbing over small jumps and exploring rotations both front and backside as well as simple rail features.
Skill Requirements: Athletes should have 4-7 years of riding experience.
Competition: FUN local competitions recommended.
Schedule/Sessions: Saturday and Sundays December 5, 2020 – March 28, 2021

Ski Passes: Grand Targhee Passes must be purchased directly through Grand Targhee Resort. Pass prices are not included in program fees.
Transportation: Not provided for 2020-21 season.

- TVSEF will offer full refunds up until November 1st for any family who is no longer comfortable with their child participating.
- TVSEF will offer partial refunds to any family who is no longer comfortable with their child participating at any point in time. TVSEF will retain 30% of the participant’s program fee for administrative fees plus an additional prorated fee for the period the athlete participated in the program. If the athlete participated in 70% of the program, no refunds will be given.
